Pokemon Black and White game, latest news

The new upcoming Pokémon Black Version (called Pocket Monsters Black in Japan) and Pokémon White Version (called Pocket Monsters White in Japan) are the prime corresponding versions of the forthcoming Generation V game. They will be, similar to the Generation IV's games that are currently on the Nintendo DS like Pokemon Platinum. The games now have the capability to connect to the internet so players can upload their save file and play a Pokemon online game but in a limited way.

Pokemon Black and White, at this point, give the impression to follow the developments set up by earlier games in the series. Two player characters, one female and one male, travel a new region called Isshu on their Pokémon expeditions. This region is populated by all kinds of Pokémon, some of which have not appeared before the Black and White games. The first of the new Pokémon to feature in these games are Zorua and Zoroark. These two characters were discovered on the 10^th of February 2010 in the Pokemon magazine known as CoroCoro Magazine. Later, in May, the starter Pokémon were shown.

The games' names were shown on the official Japanese Pokémon website (pokemon.co.jp) around April the 9th and leaked scans from the subsequent issue of the magazine were leaked on 10^th of April with higher quality versions of these pictures were officially released on the Japanese Pokemon site on April 15th. These images showed us a number of the graphical improvements and advancements that will be introduced in these games. There will be a greater level of 3D graphics than in the older games, as you can see in some shots of the Pokemon world. Preliminary sprites can be seen for Zorua, Zoroark, and the new player characters. This game will be big!

As well as the better-quality graphics, a number of visual changes have been made from former generations, with an transformed battle scene comprising entirely animated Pokémon battle sprites along with a dynamic camera that moves focus to highlight particular parts of the mêlée. You will also notice that when characters are talking to people in some of the locations, like the Poké Mart and Pokémon Center you will see speech balloons pop up over people's heads for dialog instead of at the bottom like the older games. Pokemon Black and White will be compatible with all five Generation IV games (Pokemon Diamond, Pearl, Platinum etc). A cool feature is transferring the shiny legendary characters that were released to promote the thirteenth Pokemon movie in Japan unlocks a Zoroark, and if you transfer a Celebi you will get a Zorua. The games also have the capacity to connect to the internet; players can upload their save file and play online .
